Strive for Better
As the boys Volleyball season came to an end the team finished with a 4-8 record and came in last place in the region. With First team all region winner Joshua Faircloth and defensive specialist Jesse Delong also having a wonderful season second team all region both of these guys were very electric and showed up every game for the team.
This being our first year having a volleyball team our guys didn’t have the best season but each game everyone went hard and tried their best being last in the region. A I guess you can say “chip” on our team's shoulders getting them fired up and ready to compete next year. But I talked to Coach Davis and he said “I feel ok about the season. I just feel as if I'm missing some pieces to the puzzle just like four more guys that will help us athletically and just give us a better chance to compete with some of these other schools.” But overall this was like a “practice season for the guys because every other school being 2 years in and us only being one it can make a big difference and have something to do with us being kinda behind on somethings.
The future of the team is looking very good as we only had one senior and with the other new players and us having the same team with tons of experience we hopefully will be first in the region as the offseason comes. Most boys off the team are doing another sport to stay in shape and some are conditioning everyday. But, some of our boys are doing club volleyball to stay active and engaged in the sport they love. As a team we lacked discipline and more effort but with conditioning starting as close as April our team is going to be working on it and trying to get better each day! Some other players that had a wonderful were Micheal Wilks he was a outside hitter another great player was David Pigget he added a spark to the team like by keeping everyone involved and making sure everyone went hard every game. But as a whole it was a great first season and we are looking forward to next year to dominate and become region champs and hopefully going much farther and getting better each day and bringing home a ring. I look forward to next season seeing our boys back in action but until then keep working hard fellas!
