Meet Wilson High Schools (2023-2024) Varsity Girls Soccer team! This team is led by head coach Robert Sloan, and head assistant coach Don Watts. This year's team includes 18 players: Madison Dunham, Caden Grisby, Maria Valenzuela, Braelyn Simmons, Esmerelda Manilla, Jaaleyah Burns, Sheena Patel, Abigail Cherry, Vaidehi Patel, Nevaeh Rhodes, Alexis Moore, Malatia McPhail-Jones, Katlyn Crosland, Helen Jose, Townsend Woodson, Kaylee Braswell, Grace Haughn, and Alyssa Willard. Starting Off With Resilience
In the Tiger’s second game of the season against the South Florence Bruins, they faced a challenging defeat. Despite the loss, the girls demonstrated resilience, particularly in the first half where they managed to keep the game close with a score of 2-0. However, early in the second half, they conceded three goals which proved to be a turning point. Despite this setback, the Tigers' defense tightened, preventing South from scoring any further goals. Unfortunately, though, they couldn't find the net themselves.

A Minor Setback For A Major Comeback
The Lady Tigers encountered a challenge when playing against North Myrtle Beach, a team renowned for being the best within the region. Despite their preparation, the absence of any prior scrimmages left them facing the intensity of a strong opponent as only their second match of the season. In the face of this difficulty, freshman standout Maddison Dunham emerged as the undeniable hero of the game, showcasing her exceptional talent with an impressive tally of 18 saves...
