What am I most thankful for?

I am most thankful for my family. My family has given me strength throughout everything I do and plans for the future. Even through lost, my family has stood by my side, and given me everything I need even if I was just talking to them. Growing up i was around my family on both sides a lot they helped me to become the person I am today just by seeing the way they acted, talked, and thought about things. I keep my family close to me because I know they will stand behind me through every step I take.

Is There Too Much Emphasis Put Onto Winning Sports?

The intense focus on winning can sometimes lead to negative consequences. When winning becomes the sole objective, it can overshadow the enjoyment and personal growth that sports offer. It puts immense pressure on athletes, leading to stress, burnout, and even cheating.  Moreover, the emphasis on winning can create an unhealthy competitive environment. Instead of fostering sportsmanship, it can encourage a win-at-all-cost mentality. This can lead to conflicts, aggression, and a lack of respect for opponents. Sports should be about building character, not just about the final score. Additionally, when winning becomes the ultimate goal, it can overshadow the value of participation and effort. Sports should be inclusive and provide opportunities for everyone to develop their skills and enjoy the game.

A Special Place That Holds Meaning

A special place that holds a very special place that holds meaning to me is my grandparents home. My grandparents house was the last place I was about to have Christmas I got to have with my great grandpa before he died, it was also the last place I got to see him. My great-grandpa was a very special person to me, he made me happy when I needed cheering up and would try his best to put a smile on my face whenever he could. His house shows so many memories that me and my family have together. Growing up I would go to my grandparents house a lot and play there, even though my great- grandpa was sick for years he still had time for his great grandchildren and would try to give them anything they wanted. When he died it hurt my family a lot but I know that he would've wanted us to still go and visit my great grandma and make sure she is okay and take care of her. Even though it makes me sad to go to their house I still go because I know that is what he would've wanted.

             Who's My Biggest Influence?

My dad is my biggest influence. Growing up i was always with my dad, where he was I was. I would go to work with him when he was coaching football and basketball I knew everybody on the teams  and the coaches, so from that I learned how to get what i needed, how to talk to people, and I learned how to respect others. My dad helped me whenever i needed help, if i got in trouble he would put me in my place when needed, he helped me to understand people, and he's all around an amazing man.

                                          What's My Passion

My passion is pole vault. Since I do track and field I got into pole vault my first year and have been doing it for 3 years this will be my 4th year. Last year in the 2022-2023 season I had a 3 way all region tie. The reason I do pole vault is because I find it as an escape and it's an all around interesting thing to do. Pole vault helped me through a tough time in my life so I thank my old coach for introducing it to me.

Pole Vault is a complicated event in track and field it's also dangerous. The goal in it is to launch your body over a bar without making that bar fall. The person jumping uses a long and flexible pole, usually made from fiberglass or carbon fiber, as an aid to jump over a bar. Competitors vault over a 4.5-meter long horizontal bar by sprinting along a runway and jamming a pole against a ‘stop board’ at the back of a recessed metal ‘box’ sited centrally at the base of the uprights

What Is The Importance Of Media In Sports?

The importance of media in sports is to show world the importance of sports and how much work the people playing these sport put in to get were they are now. It also promotes sports events and sponsorship. An example of this would be the World Cup, every year it is held in a different place each year. It is watched by 40% of sports fans a year. Sports Media helps athletes to gain media in the sport or sports they play. It helps sport teams also to gain media, which helps both player and team to get the interest of other teams, colleges, and coaches
